The Epic Baron-Matos Journey to Unprofessionalizing the MMA
This is where it all started:
What he said:
"Magkita tayo sa mata. Pagod ako. Pagod na pagod ako. Pero sige. Ikaw, Kiko Matos, magkita tayo sa mata. Mahal kita, pero bibigwasan kita. Isa lang," he said in the interview, showing a fist. "Magkita tayo."
On Baron's POV, the fight started when Matos allegedly disrespected a female bartender who took her time in serving drinks. He stepped in to put Matos in his place unfortunately, the latter did not take the gesture lightly. When they went out to settle things straight, Matos decided to pull out a suckerpunch.
What he said:
Honestly, this guy can't pull off a decent one liner let alone an entire song like Baron. Boo, you bore us some more won't you?
Kiko's POV, on the other hand, focused on giving Baron a taste of reality and his own medicine. No word if the waitress issue was all a lie. On the other hand, his close allies insist that Baron was at fault because he grabbed the microphone while Matos was about to talk.
Fast forward URCC
Baron's rendition of the joker
In a very uncalculated move, Baron puckered up his lips for Matos who was ironically wearing a shirt that says "kiss me".
In his last attempt to be cool, Matos striked back by spraying his dominance (pee spray, everyone!) on Baron ala Lex Luthor.
On to the game!
Round 1 Highlights
On the early part of Round 1, the room was filled with chants for Baron.
The boys tumble and fight for dominance.
Thanks to his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training, Kiko got the advantage on being on top of Baron. Yes, when you're sown no amount of full house kick or turning side can save you TKD kids.
Kiko successfully mounted Baron and fire punches like a machine gun, earning him the advantage for Round 1. It would've been nicer if he didn't punch like a pansy though.
At the end though, Baron fans gave a sigh of relief when they're role model stands up and gestured as if saying "its as if he was not hurt by Kiko's punches"
Round 2 Highlights
UFC is not a piece of cake, it doesn't matter if you're a Jiu Jitsu guy like Matos or a Tae Kwon Do black belter like Geisler. You need more than two weeks to train. Look how tired Kiko is after 2 minutes on Round 2.
The poor guy couldn't even stand up on his own.
In a move that got Round 2 on his side, Baron corners Matos and let out a fury of punch
Both parties decided to forego Round 3 due to exhaustion
Like our current education system where all kids who tried are winners, the fight ended up in a draw.
They hugged it out like the true gentlemen they are and whispered they'll be cashing in a lot of moolah after the fight. Well probably.
Baron was like "Are you not entertained?!" and the crowd goes, "No!!!!!"
